Many employers sponsor corporate matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions that their employees or spouses make. Matching gift programs can double or possibly triple your donation. Please obtain your company’s matching gift form and return it with your contribution.
Each year, Rensselaer receives nearly $1 million in additional support from donors who take advantage of corporate gift match. Corporate gift match is considered when determining your annual gift club status. To determine if your company participates in corporate match, contact your company's personnel or human resource office.
If your company does participate, or if you are submitting a paper matching gift form, please fill out the appropriate form and send it with your gift to the following address:

Tax Benefits
Your gift may provide you with federal and state income tax benefits:
As you consider your gift, please be aware of the following income tax considerations when giving to Rensselaer’s School of Engineering. As always, you should consult a qualified tax professional for tax advice. Rensselaer has 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt status (is this verified?); our federal tax ID number is 14-1340095.
Federal Income Taxes
If you are itemizing deductions, you may deduct contributions to Rensselaer (and also other qualifying charities) using Schedule A to form 1040. These reductions reduce your taxable income and thereby reduce your tax liability by the amount of your donation multiplied by your marginal tax rate.
